The difference is the fit.
Most LED masks are rigid. They sit flat while your face isn't — so around the nose, cheekbones and jaw the light arrives at an angle, from a distance, and the dose you actually receive drops away.
The Mask 4.0 uses a flexible outer skin that follows the contours of your face. The LEDs stay in consistent contact across the whole surface, which means the light you're paying for reaches the skin evenly rather than only where the mask happens to touch. It's also considerably more comfortable, which matters more than it sounds — the research on light therapy is built on consistent, repeated sessions, and people don't repeat things that are uncomfortable.

How to use it
Clean skin, select your mode, 10–20 minutes, three to five times a week. Consistency over intensity — as with all light therapy, the results in the literature come from repeated sessions over weeks, not from single long ones.
Mask 4.0 or Mask Pro?
Mask 4.0 — fewer modes, better contact. Choose this if comfort and even coverage matter most to you, and you'll be using it several times a week.
Mask Pro — seven modes plus a detachable neck plate. Choose this if you want the widest range of light options and coverage below the jawline.
